The department of Mathematics has a very strong international focus. Since 1986 it offers international study programmes in English language in order to attract talented students from all over the world. Nowadays, all graduate study programmes are in English. German students profit from the international atmosphere because it prepares them in an optimal way for the global job market.

A large network of partner universities provides our basis for academic cooperation, student and teaching staff exchange. Together with selected partner universities we offer the possibility for a double Master or even double PhD programme where the students graduate from two universities simultaneously.

At the moment, students from more than 50 countries study mathematics in Kaiserslautern. About 25 % of our graduate students come from abroad.
