In the modeling of glass melts a system of PDEs describes the physical behavior. Moreoever one is also interested in the shape of the resulting glass melt. So the geometry becomes an additional varibale in the computations. In this research we are focusing on PDE constraint optimazion problems. The actual geometry will be considered as both a control and a state variable respectively. Also the equations will be simplified to a lower dimensional case to look at theoretical results concerning existence and uniqueness of solutions.
