About:
I am a graduate student at the University of Kaiserslautern supported by the DFG project The structure and representation theory of cyclotomic Hecke algebras, which is part of the DFG priority program 1388. My supervisor is Prof. Dr. Gunter Malle.
Although I am interested in nearly everything (algebraic), my main interests are group and representation theory. More specifically, I am interested in:
- Reflection groups.
- Symplectic reflection algebras (in particular rational Cherednik algebras) and associated geometric structures.
- Iwahori-Hecke algebras (for complex reflection groups in general).
- Algebraic groups and their fixed point subgroups.
- Modular representation theory of finite groups.
- Rationality and integrality questions in representation theory.
- Computational methods in group and representation theory.
In November 2009 I finished my Diplom thesis in algebraic number theory on Mackey functors and abelian class field theories (see below), also under the supervision of Gunter Malle at the University of Kaiserslautern.
