Computers
Every participant will be provided with a computer account to be able to use the computers in the mathematics department. The computers have a Pentium I specification, with Linux as operating system. The software basically provided is C, Matlab, Latex, several editors, and Netscape. Additional software as Maple, Mathematica, Fortran, etc or access to high-end PC's is also available.

Libraries
There are several libraries at the University of Kaiserslautern. The central library is the University Library. Besides the University Library, there are several specialised libraries, e.g. Mathematics and Physics Departments' library which provides literature, books, important journals, and lecture notes in English and other languages.
