The conference
The 4th tropical PhD-students conference on tropical geometry will take
place in Kaiserslautern on the 29th / 30th of July this year. The
conference aims especially at PhD-students but also at master students who
work with tropical geometry or a closely related field. In the tradition
of the preceding conferences there will be two days of talks starting
early Friday afternoon. The first talk on each day will be held by an
experienced speaker.

Reimbursement
Regretfully, we only have a very limited budget. We will only be able to reimburse the speakers for
travel and accomodation. However, there are several hotels in Kaiserslautern, that offer a discount for participants of university conferences. See our
list of hotels for details.
Schedule
This is the conference schedule. The conference will take place in
building 52, room 203. A detailed program can be downloaded
here. For those who want to go directly from the main station to the conference on friday: Take the bus 105 in direction of "Kurt-Schumacher-Straße" (leaves at :21 and :51) and get off at
Uni Ost. From there just follow the signs or use our
Campus map (the conference is just around the corner :) )

If the weather is suitable on Sunday morning we will organize a hike to the
Humbergturm. The tour will probably start at 10 and take about 2 hours, wearing proper shoes is advised ;-) After the hike we can have lunch together at the
Bremerhof.
