Science Minister Prof. Dr. Konrad Wolf has appointed Prof. Dr. Anita Schöbel, professor in the Optimisation group and head of the Fraunhofer ITWM, as the first AI pilot for Rhineland-Palatinate. With the AI agenda presented in September, Rhineland-Palatinate will double its investments in the promotion, research and networking of the key AI technology to 36 million euros over the next few years. One component of the agenda is the appointment of contact persons to support the application of AI technologies in science and industry.
