Differential-Algebraic Systems and Numerical Mathematics Group
Welcome to the website of the Differential-Algebraic Systems and Numerical Mathematics Group.
We study differential algebraic systems, partial differential equations and their many applications in engineering and natural sciences, such as solid mechanics, fluid dynamics and electromagnetism. Our topics range from modeling and numerics for coupled magneto-elastic materials as well as biomechanical applications such as human skeletal muscle to numerical homogenization using the Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT) method.
Another focus of our research group is the application of the new approach of isogeometric finite elements, for example in the simulation of thermal expansion or hybrid Galerkin collocation methods.
