General Information

Mathematical Image Processing and Data Analysis requires broad mathematical knowledge.

For a specialization in Mathematical Image Processing and Data Analysis we recommend the following courses:

  • Einführung: Funktionalanalysis
  • Einführung in die Fourieranalysis (mit Anwendungen in der Signal- und Bildverarbeitung)
  • Proseminar: Grundlagen der Bildverarbeitung

  • Konvexe Mengen (Grundbegriffe, konvexe Kegel,Projektions- und Separationssätze)
  • Konvexe Funktionen (Grundbegriffe, Stetigkeit konvexer Funktionen, konvexe Optimierungsprobleme)
  • Subgradienten (Grundbegriffe, Subdifferentialrechnung, mengenwertige Abbildungen)
  • Dualität (Legendre-Fenchel Konjugierte, Lagrange Funktionen, Sattelpunktprobleme)
