AG Optimierung

Dear Locators and potential ISOLDE participants,

We are in the expected, but unlucky case that we cannot have a "normal" ISOLDE this year. We would have to plan travel and flights right now which seems to be impossible. And our own simulations show that even with high vaccination rates we will need rules until (end of) summer in Germany.

We hence made the following decision:

  • No physical ISOLDE in 2021: ISOLDE 2020 is further postponed to ISOLDE 2023. This means, due to Covid-19 we leave out one ISOLDE meeting, but are back to our usual schedule in 2023.
  • Welcome to ISOLDE XV in 2023! ISOLDE 2023 will take part in Germany (probably K'town and Black Forest as planned) and we are looking forward to welcoming you here in two years!
  • ISOLDE light as virtual meeting in 2021 We don't want to lose contact, so we offer an "ISOLDE light" in virtual form. Thanks to Kathrin, it will be hosted by the University of Wuppertal. It will take place on some days between 4-9 July and we won't charge any fees. Details about abstract submission will be provided until the end of February.
