Travel information
ISOLDE takes traditionally place in two different locations. For ISOLDE XV we start on Sunday 14th in Hamburg and continue in Timmendorf Beach where the conference ends with the dinner in the evening of Friday 19th. The transfer from Hamburg to Timmendorf Beach is organized by the conference and included in the conference fee.
The arrival to Hamburg and the departure from Timmendorf must be organized independently. A shuttle service will be organized for Saturday, June 20, 2020, probably around 8 a.m., from Timmendorf Beach to Hamburg airport or Hamburg main station for 18 €. You have the possibility to book this service when you register. Other possibilities are listed below.
By public transport (38 minutes, every 10 minutes):
Arrival in Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel: Take the S-Bahn line S1 (direction Hamburg-Blankenese) to the next station (Ohlsdorf). From Ohlsdorf continue with the U1 (direction Ohlstedt or Grosshansdorf) for five stations to "Kellinghusenstrasse". Then take the bus line 20 or 25 towards "Station Altona" and get off at the fourth station (Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf). The Dorint hotel is located to the left of the main entrance of the Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf. There are many similar routes with the same duration.

By taxi (10 minutes):
The fastest way to get from Hamburg airport (HAM) to Dorint Hotel Hamburg-Eppendorf is to take a taxi which costs 19 € - 23 €.
By public transport (30 minutes, every 5 minutes):
From the main station take the underground U1 (direction Norderstedt Mitte) and get off at "Kellinghusenstraße". Then take the bus line 20 or 25 towards "Station Altona" and get off at the fourth station (Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf). You will arrive at the Dorint Hotel Hamburg-Eppendorf, which is located to the left of the main entrance of the Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf. There are many similar routes with the same duration.

You can conveniently travel by train from Timmendorf Beach to the main station or the airport in Hamburg (either directly or with one or two changes in Lübeck or Hamburg main station) . The prices can vary depending on the time of day, route and service class.
