Felix-Klein-Kolloquium: Why do many large complex networks look similar?

Logo Felix-Klein-Zentrum für Mathematik

In the talk a possible answer to the question in the title is offered by defining a random network model that is constructed from simple and universal principles and by showing that typical features of large networks, like small-world effect, robustness and clustering, emerge from this construction.

Referent: Prof. Dr. Peter Mörters, Universität zu Köln
